One week after the burial of Reggae MC Njambi Koikai, her father Ambassador Daniel Koikai has been laid to rest.

The late diplomat was found dead with a deep cut on his throat, hours before his daughter’s funeral at the Lang’ata Cemetry.

The autopsy report revealed that Koikai died from excessive bleeding due to the self-inflicted injury on his neck.

The tragic discovery was made by his daughter, Naserian Koikai, who received a disturbing message from her father around 9:15 a.m. that day.

Upon arrival, Naserian found the door of his apartment bolted from the inside. She managed to gain entry through the bedroom window after her calls to open the door went unanswered, only to find her father’s lifeless body and a knife in his hand.

The late Ambassador Daniel Koikai was laid to rest in Kitengela, Kajiado County.

The funeral was covered By Sauti TV on Monday, June 24, showing a sombre ceremony, heavy with grief as family members and close friends struggled to come to terms with his demise.

His daughters and wife were in tears, especially Naserian who discovered her father’s body struggling to keep it together during the service.

Before his death, Koikai gave an emotional tribute to his daughter Njambi during her memorial service a day before she was laid to rest, expressing immense regret for the time he lost while he was absent in her life when she was alive.
