“They hurled stones on my compound and threw other stones on top of the house,” he said.
Letoo stated that the incident had occurred multiple times, even though he consistently maintained his composure, asserting that he was aware of the identities of the assailants.
“I take this as a serious threat to my family and an attempt (on his life) and/or to some of my family members,” he stated.
Letoo expressed his discontent regarding the lack of response from officers stationed at the General Service Unit (GSU) camp, which is situated in close proximity to his residence, during the incident.
“I am calling on the newly established GSU Camp not far from my home to wake up and protect my life, that of my family and neighbours,” he said.
Letoo characterized the assaults as acts of intimidation and efforts to obstruct his professional endeavors, asserting that he would not permit such interference.
He additionally warned that should the assaults persist, he would reveal the identities of those responsible.
“This is intimidation of the highest order to me as a person, work, and life. To persons surrounding my home at night, please stop for the very last time
“Individuals sending people to attack my home, please stop for the last time before I name and shame you,” he warned.
Adding, “Any further night or day activities by unknown persons around my home/farm will be met by the full force of resistance and defence of life.”
In early September, Letoo fell victim to a bold car break-in incident in Lavington, Nairobi.
Unknown thieves smashed the passenger window of his vehicle and made off with valuable items, including a MacBook laptop, external hard drives, personal belongings, and VIP invitation cards for an upcoming thanksgiving ceremony.
Letoo promptly reported the incident to the Muthangari Police Station and shared photos of his vandalized car on social media. Many of his fans expressed shock at the audacity of the thieves and offered their sympathy.
The journalist’s vehicle was targeted while parked in the upscale Lavington neighborhood.
Despite the distressing incidents, Letoo remains undeterred, with some social media users encouraging him to stay focused on his career trajectory and not be deterred by the setback.
