Kenya’s growing entertainment scene continues to see the emergence of newer talents, adding to the country’s rich creative industry. Ciku Muchiri who plays Sly on YouTube drama sitcom Nurse Toto is among the many impressive talents taking the industry by storm.
During a recent interview on Obina TV, Ciku revealed that she got into acting accidentally and soon developed passion. She had attended a couple of events where she met a number of top Kenyan creatives.
Out of the interactions, she was first cast as an extra in her first film, she would do a number of films before landing a lead role in Paa.

Ciku is waiting to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Daystar University. She is an alumnus of Kianda School.
Career
The young actress attributes her career success to skills picked up during drama and music festivals in High school.
Her first breakthrough role was as the lead character – Lydiah on Paa.
She has featured in a number of other shows including ‘A Nurse Toto’ on YouTube, Showmax’s ‘Crime and Justice’, ‘A Better Life’, and ‘Second Family‘, as well as Maisha Magic’s ‘Bargain Bride’.
Ciku Muchiri was a prominent role in Netflix crime drama series Volume.
The 24-year-old does not shy away from standing her ground at all time. She advices that to make it in the entertainment industry, one has to be true to oneself.
Outside of her onstage career, Ciku maintains a private life. Her personal relationships remain unknown to the public.
Ciku Muchiri has developed her brand and has since collaborated with various product and service providers on marketing.
