For instance, in one viral video, the called on the young people to show up in large numbers for protests set for August 8.
Now, days after sharing this video and others, Kebaso says Nairobi County and Lenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officials visited him on Wednesday.
In an update on his X account, he also noted that he fears that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is also after him.
“I know I look fine. But I’m not okay. The gov’t has been on my neck and in my business vibaya sana. Today at around 2 PM I was visited by KRA. Soon thereafter Nairobi County came. I expect DCI tonight. Come one come all. I’m fearless,” he wrote on X.
Morara who was a student leader at Kenyatta University is known for vying for MCA Kahawa Wendani by-elections in December 2020 following the death of Cyrus Omondi.
Morara studied law at Kenyatta University, before venturing into furniture business where he pioneered Morara Home Furniture company which continues to offer employment to youth.
This comes a day after Ruto asked Gen Zs to come out and state their plan as they push for change in government through street protests.
Speaking in Taita Taveta, he said demonstrations and anarchy will not sort out Kenya’s problems.
“They should give us a chance to build our country. They have no alternative plan, what they want is chaos and anarchy
“I have told them, that if they have an alternative plan, let them come out and tell Kenyans their alternative plan, let them not cause chaos and anarchy. If they have a plan let them tell us,” Ruto said.
Ruto also cited different projects the government is undertaking to create employment for youths.
“We have the housing programme, digital jobs, export of labour and industrialisation, what is theirs? They are saying their plan is demonstrations, can you take demos as a job?” he asked.
Notably, Ruto has on several occasions questioned the aftermath of the Gen Z demonstrations as the protesters have vowed to continue demanding accountability and good governance.
He said that he would not allow a section of Kenyans to take the country in the wrong direction.
