Maryanne Mudavadi Education Background

She attended the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom for her undergraduate degree where she studied Psychology and later on enrolled for a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/Personnel Administration at the same institution. 

Maryanne Mudavadi Career Journey

She interned at CPF Financial Services and at First Assurance Kenya Limited. First Assurance Kenya Limited is one of the companies in which Musalia is a majority shareholder. She has additionally served as a volunteer at the Musalia Mudavadi Foundation Trust (MMFT) and National Assembly Lady Spouses Association, Kenya (NALSA-K). 

Her current employment status is at the Co-operative Bank of Kenya as a recruiter, a position she took up in January 2022.

Maryanne Mudavadi Personal Life

In Mudavadi’s ‘Earthquake Announcement’, Maryanne had a speech ready for the nation. She started saying, “Good morning dad, the next president of Kenya…We can see that he is clearly a strong, tried, experienced, very prominent figure in Kenyan politics. My dad is a champion for change for all Kenyans regardless of their age, their gender, their ethnicity and their class…Considering all the sacrifices my dad has made for this country due to his extremely selfless nature, kind heart and integrity, I stand here very proud to say that this is my dad.”

She went on to list the various roles her father had served in over the course of his political and public service career. These included serving in President Moi’s government, later taking up the vice president role, Sabatia MP, Minister of Supplies and Marketing, Minister of Finance, Minister of Agriculture, and Minister of Information, Transportation, and Communication and serving as Deputy Prime Minister in Kibaki’s government.
