Kuria expressed that he has been subjected to unkind messages from certain members of the Kenyan public since his removal from the Cabinet.
He acknowledged his humanity, stating that such messages affect him deeply, noting that it is not easy being on his side.
“Somebody sent me a message on my phone offering me a job ati ‘hey niaje mzito, kuna job hapa kwa mortuary, unaonaje? Utaichukua?’ It’s harsh, it’s terrible
“Having done the work I have done for this country within a short period, and I agree with the need for change and having a clear mind, of course, I am human. It is not easy and I sympathize with them,” he said.
Kuria referred to a well-respected media organization, which he chose not to name, that has established a practice of criticizing him on a daily basis.
“There’s a particular media house which has dedicated 10 minutes of their time every morning to trolling me. It is not easy.”
Kuria discussed the developments that have occurred since his departure from the Cabinet, along with his future intentions.
He expressed a desire to pursue a private life now that he is no longer engaged in public service and intends to continue working on his book, which he initiated in January of this year.
Additionally, Kuria noted that he has received invitations to deliver lectures at international events, which he plans to accept.
“I am doing my private things, I am writing my book. I started writing my book in January. I have had a lot of invitations even before to speak at international forums and events about global issues. I am not short of things to do,” he said.
