Kuria’s tweet quickly ignited discussions on X, with users expressing varied opinions on the matter. Some supported the idea of regional representation, while others questioned the logic behind his statement.
@MwangiPeter responded: “Interesting perspective, but isn’t it time we moved past regional politics and focused on the best candidate for the job regardless of their origin?”
@NjeriNairobi echoed Kuria’s sentiment: “Totally agree! Meru and Embu deserve their moment. We need to balance the leadership in the region.”
@KenyanCitizen disagreed, tweeting: “Why should leadership be about settling debts? Let’s focus on capability, not tribal lines. This isn’t the way forward for Kenya.”
