Kenya Power on Wednesday, June 5 announced that it would be conducting scheduled maintenance in select areas across six counties on Thursday, June 6.
Through its social media accounts, the power supply company announced that the outages would last for eight hours, from 9 am to 5 pm. READ FULL STORY
The affected areas are in Nairobi, West Pokot, Nyeri, Busia, Kiambu, and Mombasa counties.
Nairobi
Affected areas include Garden Estate Road and nearby customers.
Nyeri
Affected areas include Kamatongu, Muthiga Garden, Gen Karangi, Honi Resort, Aberdare County Club, Mwireri, Jersey Farm, Mweiga Blooms, PCEA Honi Prayer Centre, and Flora Farm.
West Pokot
Affected parts include Makutano, Kapenguria, Kapenguria County Hospital, Lelan, Murkwijit, Kesogon, Kapkoris, Karas, Safari Hotel, Korelach, Kapkoris, Kamatira, and surrounding customers
Busia
Affected areas include Butula, Bumutiru, Murumba, Oloo Market, Benga University, Tingolo, and Masende Bale.
Kiambu
Interruptions will be experienced in the entire Tola area, Kiahuria Shopping Center, Metro, parts of Ngoingwa, Compuera, Mpesa Academy, Muiri, Albbizia, Vincentian, and Kiahuria.
Mombasa
Affected areas include Ngoroko FEM, Ngoloko Primary School, Ngoloko Seagas, Sultan Palace, Msumarini, Mferejini, Vipingo Beach Properties, Vipingo Bureni, Rea Vipingo, Junju, Gongoni, Mapawa, and Kolewa.
KPLC recently upgraded its token vending system in a move aimed at improving serving delivery.
This was after a scheduled interruption that began on Sunday, June 3 at 10 pm lasting 24 hours and was completed Monday, June 4 at the same time.
