Obinna has clarified that he does financially support Dem Wa Facebook, but not for the reasons that internet users might assume; instead, it is based on a business arrangement.
According to the YouTube host, collaborating with the comedienne has not only attracted a new audience to his page but also enhanced his value in content creation.
Because of her impressive work, Oga Obinna believes he has ample reason to show his appreciation. He disclosed that he provides her with approximately Kshs 5,000 every Monday to cover her transportation, meals, and other necessities.
“I spend around Ksh 5,000 every Monday on her logistics. She gets picked from home, she gets dropped at home, whatever she will eat and if I have to finance any other thing on her,” Obinna said
Contrary to popular belief, Obinna disclosed that he has a contract with Dem wa Facebook that ties her to his brand. This explains why he pays her every month and also provides her with a small percentage of the revenue from their show’s deals.
“On top of that I pay her monthly and for the weekly show. I have a contract with her. I told her you will have this percentage and you will do this but I finance everything on this. You just show up, we sit down then you get this,” he explained.
Their close relationship has also attracted attention, with many speculating that they might be romantically involved. Both have since denied the allegations insisting that they are just business partners.
