Sammy Mwangi is a Kenyan actor and voiceover artist who went viral after playing the role “Tito” in the Citizen TV show “Becky.”

Early Life

Sammy Mwangi was born in Nairobi. He grew up in the ghetto where his father sold clothes for a living. In an interview with Faydee Media, Mwangi says that he grew up well and got everything he ever wanted.

Education

For his primary school education, Mwangi went to a primary school in Ngumo and later joined Kijabe high school for his secondary school education.

Career

He started acting in class five when he took part in a play as a supporting actor. Later, he took part in a bigger role and ended up winning the “Best Actress Award.” He participated in other performances like solo verses, folk songs, and folk dances.

Sammy Mwangi says that he never imagined himself as an actor since he wanted to be a doctor. He says that his dad wanted him to be a doctor and he studied Pharmacy. He also added that his father supported his acting career when he told him about it.

The first time Mwangi did a film in 2015 courtesy of the Nest Collective. He started off doing art plays at Fanaka Acting Theater. In 2016, he did his first TV appearance in a show by Zamaradi productions and later took part in the show “Selina” in 2017. He has since taken part in many shows including Monika, Zora, and Ngazi.

Relationship

Mwangi says that he would not consider dating Becky offset since they both have different lives. However, he is not clear on his current dating status but he shares that he is not currently looking.
