“Yes, Fred is dead. He succumbed after a road accident on Friday evening and was admitted at Mama Lucy Hospital,” a source reported without divulging more information surrounding his death.
Fred was known for his stand-up comedy performances in various shows, including Churchill.
His comedic journey started long ago during his upbringing.
He was the second born in a family of four siblings: Fred Omondi (comedian), Rose Omondi (younger sister), and the late Joseph Onyango Omondi.
Other siblings include Irene Omondi and Pollate Omondi.
In 2018, Omondi lost his elder brother Joseph Onyango Omondi, who battled drug addiction for almost 19 years.
Omondi’s late father was a chief inspector and an OCS in Kisumu. Both of his parents have passed on.
More details will follow as the story develops.
