The Kenya Power and Lighting Company on Thursday, June 6 announced that three counties are set to experience power interruptions due to a scheduled maintenance on Friday, June 7.
Residents from parts of Uasin Gishu, Kisii and Kiambu counties were asked to brace themselves for an 8-hour disruption, beginning at different times in all three counties. READ FULL STORY
The North Rift region area of Kapseret Lemook will be affected from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm. Areas involved are Kapsaret Lemook, Kapsaret, Mosombor, Shajna and Quary, Kapteldon and adjacent customers.
The Nyamataro, Nyakoe and Mosocho parts of Kisii County will be affected from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm. The scheduled maintenance will affect Nyagena Hospital, Nyabururu Complex, Nyamataro, Kimwasi, Nyakoe, Mososcho, Cardinal Otunga, Matieko, part of Ruga, Ongicha and adjacent customers.
In Kiambu County, the Kiambaa and Waguthu areas are scheduled for maintenance from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Residents living around the Mugomoini, Kiamba Boys, Karuri County Offices, Waguthu Police, Waguthu Water, Gichi Factory, Kwahai and Waguthu F/Road will be affected.
The utility company has been working to improve their services in the country, as witnessed by the recently upgraded token vending system.
The firm also urges the public to get in touch with representatives through its social media pages on all major platforms where they help with all power-related queries on a 24/7 basis.
