Bahati, who shared the trailer of the reality show on his X page (formerly known as Twitter), revealed that the show will feature The Murayas, Karen Nyamu, Jalang’o, Rev. Lucy Natasha, Comedian Terence Creative, actress Jackie Matubia and Diana Sisters among other top Kenyan celebrities
In his message, Bahati emphasized that the show will be significant as it marks the first time a Kenyan family will have a reality show on Netflix.
“We were the first Kenyan family to have a reality show on national TV (Being Bahati on NTV), and now we make history as the first Kenyan family to have a reality show on Netflix. All glory goes to our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s official! The first Kenyan/East African reality show on Netflix is #thebahatisempire, which premieres on Friday, June 7, 2024. Oh yes, I know you all had missed us on TV,” Bahati said.
He added, “The King & Queen of Reality are back, and it’s time for us to address all your rumors as we share with the world our dirty, clean, sad, and happy moments! This is unscripted… this is the best reality Kenya has seen… just trust me! See y’all on Netflix this Friday.”
The announcement came hours after Bahati shared a worrying post on his social media account, suggesting trouble in paradise in their marriage.
The father of five posted a photo of his wife, Diana B, with former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama, sparking speculation about his motives. Diana had previously been accused of having a romantic relationship with the football star.
Hours later, Bahati sent social media into a frenzy again by sharing a photo of his daughter, Mueni, and his baby mama, Yvette Obura, at her graduation.
He captioned the snap with, “I wish I knew.”
