Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management CS Moses Kuria was recently handed the bitter end of the stick by mourners at a funeral after they started leaving immediately he began addressing congregants.
The CS was sharing his sentiments on the recent incidents following the aftermath of the Anti-Finance Bill protests. He was regarding President William Ruto’s announcement of declining to assent to the bill, lauding the Gen Z uprising that reminded the government of its mandate to the people.
“You(the public) are now our bosses, you will now decide what we will be doing if you choose that we should all eat ugali, then that is what we will do,” he was saying in a video circulating online.
Immediately he began speaking, mourners started walking out in single file as he struggled to hold the congregation’s attention.
Netizens applauded the move, thrilled at the public’s new attitude towards politicians where they have collectively declined to lend their ears to those who have patronised them in the past.

“This is it, don’t give them a platform to address you,” Wambui Ngugi stated.

Politicians who have been vocal in their support of the government have been facing the wrath of Kenyans countrywide, especially MPs who voted in favour of the Finance Bill 2024 who are finding themselves accosted by angry citizens.
