Ruth K, the girlfriend of comedian Mulamwah, has clarified the status of their relationship, stating that they are not officially married.

Many Kenyans mistakenly believed this gathering to be their traditional wedding and extended their congratulations to the pair for formalizing their union.
However, in a viral TikTok video, Ruth explained that the event was merely an introduction ceremony, as her pregnancy had disrupted their plans for the traditional wedding.
“I had not told anyone at home that I was pregnant. I had just told my close friends. It was not supposed to be an introduction party. We did not know you cannot do ruracio when you are pregnant. After asking around, we were told it could not happen,” she said.
Ruth mentioned that their introduction ceremony took place two weeks later than originally scheduled.
This delay was necessitated by a change in plans, as they were informed that Mulamwah was unable to pay her dowry due to her pregnancy.
“They said I had to give birth first for some procedures to happen. Both parents shifted the plans to now an introduction ceremony so that parents and families from both sides to get to know each other,” she added.
As earlier reported on EAFeed, Mulamwah has now claimed that he started courting Ruth when his baby mama, Carol Sonnie, was pregnant.
In an update on Instagram, the content creator made the claims while defending Ruth from claims that she ‘stole’ him from Sonnie.
Mulamwah said although Sonnie was pregnant, they had already broken up, and he was not wrong to get into a new relationship regardless of Sonnie’s pregnancy.
“We had broken up already. And during that period, I was feeling very lonely, and I felt as though I would lose myself,” he said.
Mulamwah noted that his decision to move on was justifiable as being in an industry such as his requires one to have a companion most of the time.
“When you are creative, and you have no girlfriend, trust me, there is nowhere you are going. You will be having girlfriends every day. Every show, you’ll leave with a new woman and waste your life. That’s why I started looking for an option,” he stated.
Mulamwah also stated that although it may seem peculiar, Ruth was genuinely concerned about Sonnie’s pregnancy during their courtship period.
“And I even told Ruth K when we were courting that even if she turned me down, I would have another girlfriend. But she wasn’t accepting because she was seeing Carol with her pregnancy, and that’s why I love her to date,” he said.
