Serial Killer Masten Milimo Wanjala Murder Spree
Masten Wanjala confessed to authorities that he had murdered twelve children in Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, and Bungoma counties. He described that he derived immense pleasure from taking the lives of his victims.
Wanjala’s victims included kids he used to play football with and from whose families he had demanded a ransom. One such family from Kajiado had lost their child to Wanjala’s hands. This was despite attempts to collaborate with the killers by sending more than Ksh 2,800 in a demanded ransom of Ksh 30,000.
Wanjala enticed his victims by using something special and forced them to inhale or drink a substance that would knock them out unconscious. He would then kill them, sometimes drink their blood, and even mutilate some of the bodies. Masten’s main victims were boys but had also murdered one girl – Purity Mweu from Machakos County. The boys included Aaron, Junior Mutuku Musyoka, and Charles Bala Opindo.
Masten Milimo led detectives to the areas where he had dumped his victims’ bodies such as Lower Kabete and a sewer line in Pumwani. The detectives have since then retrieved four bodies.
He is yet to be charged and his appearance in court had been set for 16th August. In the meantime, he is under police custody.
