The exposé has left the ministry concerned, spearheaded by Cabinet Secretary for security Fred Matiangi and the nation at large speechless, wondering how police equipment can make its way to the public.
Purity Mwambia found out that with Kshs. 5,000 a gangster can hire a Ceska Pistol from various police officers in Nairobi. She also unraveled how with Kshs. 10,000, one can hire an AK47 (which costs over Kshs. 80,000) without bullets from Administration Police Officers in Nairobi. She further established that one can hire police uniform with just Kshs. 1,000-2,000.
