She then went on to the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) for her undergraduate Law degree then proceeded for her Advocates Training Program in the Kenya School of Law. Philanthropy
In 2016, Ms Majala founded the Doreen Majala Foundation, a charitable organization that seeks to create education opportunities by providing necessities and resources for basic education. The foundation focuses on building reading rooms in elementary schools in economically deprived areas.
The rooms have diverse learning materials of subject areas such as Language, Reading and Writing, Newspapers, Story books, and STEAM books (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).
She is the foundation’s chair and drives programs by developing strategic plans to deliver their services to needy children in society. Some of her work is in delivering face masks to children in schools to protect them from the Covid-19 virus.
