Makerere University is one of the best public universities in East Africa offering marketable courses. It is located in Uganda. Most Ugandans pride themselves in it since most students come from far and wide to get education in this university.
It was formerly part of the Universities of East Africa (UEA) that later split into three; Dar es Salaam University in Tanzania, University of Nairobi in Kenya and Makerere University in Uganda.
Just like any other University, Makerere University offers a wide range of courses, some of which are obviously not marketable. Below is a list of most marketable courses at Makerere University;
1. Bachelor of Commerce

7. Veterinary Medicine
Very many people ignore the importance of this course. With just 4 years study period, one can get employed by the national government to be in charge of projects that involve taking care of animals at national level. Apart from that one can come up with his own company that takes care of animal needs.
8. Journalism and Mass Communication
This is one of the most marketable courses right now. This with a little bit of online marketing prowess can take you to great heights. With this, one can end up working with companies such as National Geographic.
9. Business Administration
It has options such as Human Resource Management, Procurement, International business and Entrepreneurship. With this, one can work in a wide range of fields because each company usually needs someone to take care of the company’s resources.
10. Information Systems and Technology
In the current digitized world, people who have the online skills and knowledge stand a better chance of being employed. With this, one can be employed as an Information Technology expert of a company.
