Towards the beginning of the year 2020, juicy news took the internet by storm when Rachel together with her 4 friends were charged with robbery with violence at the Kikuyu Law Courts. The 5 purportedly mugged Martin Mbugua Njeri of items valued at Kshs. 103,000 on 17th January 2020 at Kinoo, Kikuyu sub county, Kiambu County, Kenya.
Some of the items stolen by them include a wrist watch priced at Kshs. 35,000, cash of about Kshs. 36,000 and two silver chains priced at kshs. 65,000. If the celebrated media personality is found guilty, permitting to the law, she risks being slapped with an irreversible death verdict. The lady pleaded innocent and was let go on a cash bond of kshs. 10,000. The hearing was set for 13th February 2020.
