Isibaya Introduction and Synopsis
Isibaya is a South-African daily drama series whose production began in 2013. The original languages used are Zulu, English and Sesotho. It was created by Angus Gibson, Catherine Stewart, Desiree Markgraaff and Teboho Mahlatsi, written by Adze Ugah and Chris Q Radebe then directed by Desiree Markgraaff. Isibaya currently has 8 seasons, with the plot revolving around 3 potent taxi business families and what goes on around their lives.

1. Mpiyakhe Zungu-Siyabonga Thwala
Siyabonga Thwala is a 51-year-old award winning South African actor who was born on 17th March, 1969 in Umlazi, South Africa. He played the role of Mpiyakhe Zungu in Isibaya but viewers know him best as ‘Sengwayo’. He has won the SAFTA Awards twice. Siyabonga is allegedly joining Imbewu.
2. Beauty Ngwenya-Thuli Thabethe
Thuli Thabethe is a 35-year-old talented South African actress who plays the role of Beauty in Isabaya. She was born on 5th April, 1985. Thuli won the SAFTA Golden Hour Award for her role in City Ses’la. She is currently known to her fans as the wife to taxi boss Judas Ngwenya (Menzi Ngubane) on Isabaya.
3. Dabula-Chris Q Radebe
Chris Q Radebe is a South African writer, presenter, director and actor who is best known for his recurring role as Dabula on Isabaya, which is a Mzansi Magic soapie. He has been the writer for a number of TV Series such as Single Guys, Mamello and Abomama.
4. Iris Rasebitse Zungu-Mampho Brescia
Mampho Brescia is a 42-year-old South African film actor, voice artist, TV presenter and Brand ambassador whoplayed the role of Iris Zungu in Isibaya. She also acted as Zanele in Jacob’s cross. Mampho was born on 8th December, 1977 and got married to Nicola Brescia in 2005.

Linda Sebezo is an Award-Winning 55-year-old South African actress who was born on 11th November, 1964. She plays the role of Lillian Nyandeni in Isibaya.
