Her father was a music executive working for the band Duran Duran, an English new wave band. It was during one of the tours that he met Molly Leigh’s mother who was a pretty famous Irish musician, songwriter, and singer who contributed a lot to the success of The Cranberries. In 2018, her mother died in an unfortunate turn of events when she was at a hotel room in London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel. The lead singer Dolores O’ Riordan, sister to Brendan and Joseph O’ Riordan, was intoxicated when she drowned in the bathroom. She was found unconscious and shortly after pronounced dead. The funeral was held between 20th and 22nd January 2018. She was laid to rest at Herbertstown’s Caherelly Cemetery on 23rd January leaving behind her children, husband, band, and fans devastated.
