Muhoho High School is an extra county school situated in Kenya’s Central Region in Kiganjo, Kiambu County. The school is an only-boys’ institution that admits students from different primary schools around the country upon successful completion and passing in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations. The institution was set up in 1964 and has since then been teaching and preparing young men for their university education.

Muhoho High School has been one of the leading performers in the extra county category in the national examinations and consistently been showing improvements. In the KCSE 2020 examination, the school had some of its students appear in the top 100 candidates countrywide. The candidates outdid themselves despite working amidst a global pandemic. Since 2019, the school has been registering not less than a mean score of 6.4 which is equivalent to a C grade.
