James Chege Academy is a private primary school situated in Ruiru, Kiambu County. The academy is a mixed day and boarding school. The institution teaches pupils beginning from pre-school, onto Grade 1 in line with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) up to Grade 8.
The academy’s fee structure is available with school bursar who offers an exclusive fee structure depending on the grade in which a pupil is currently enrolled. The pre-school charges vary from the grade 1 and proceeding towards grade 8.
The higher grades pay more than the lower classes due to a number of factors such as teacher qualification, increased number of subjects studied, increased academic activities such as academic tours and travel, and the need for more facilities to facilitate their studies such as computer laboratories.
Parents and guardians should also keep in mind additional monetary obligations that will arise, especially for boarding pupils. They will be required to pay for their boarding fees which cater for accommodation, meals, and any other requirements. For the day school pupils, parents and guardians have to arrange for a means of transport to and from the academy during weekdays and weekends where applicable.
The institution has been consistently improving in its KCPE performance over the years and continues to provide quality education to their pupils. It is now easy to access KCPE results online for both teachers and candidates.

Candidates can access their results at a fee via short message services (SMS) by sending their KCPE index number to a code number provided by the council immediately after the results have been officially released by the Cabinet Secretary of Education.
