Hullabaloo Estate is a Kenyan comedy series that shares stories and daily occurrences among neighbors in an average Kenyan neighborhood. The stories are portrayed in an authentic and humorous manner gaining popularity among thousands of Kenyans.
Hullabaloo Estate Episodes
The series’ first episode was aired on 4th September 2017 and continues to attract substantial viewing from its audience. It is aired on Maisha Magic East from Multichoice that has created a platform to promote local content and bring to light local talent.
Some of the other shows that have gained popularity on the platform include Pete and Selina that have boosted the thespians featured therein to stardom and successful careers. Hullabaloo Estate is no different although most of the cast is from Vioja Mahakamani, a show that was very popular for demonstrating the happenings in an average courtroom. It was aired on KBC and as one of Kenya’s oldest shows had a very loyal audience.

The series was written by Benson Karanja and directed by Phillip Karanja. The two are skilled creators and steered the boat in bringing the show to life and reaching Kenyans around the world.
Hullabaloo Estate Cast
The series features several actors and actresses that work together in making the show a success. After Vioja Mahakamani came to an end in 2015, most of the actors went on a break from the public scene. They came together and decided to leave after some of their colleagues were sent away citing that they had grown old.

The creators of Vioja Mahakamani thought that taking the approach of bringing in new and younger thespians would make the ratings shoot up as they would become appealing to the younger audiences that make up the majority of Kenya’s population.
This was however not the case as the actors believed that there was no way they would be able to recreate what they had created with a new set of people and thus, comradeship went their way. When Hullabaloo estate was created, most of the Vioja Mahakamani cast came on board and even retained their stage names in the latter.
