Favour Etuk commonly referred to as Kaptain Kush is a young fast-rising Nigerian musician, songwriter, rapper, blogger, as well as an actor. Some of his greatest hits include ‘Money Must Drop’ as well as ‘Gbese Gbese’, which are widely loved in Nigeria.
Early Life
Kaptain Kush was born on August 23, 2003, in Edo State, which is on the Southern side of Nigeria. He is currently 18 years old and hails from Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. He spent most of his young life in Shomolu as well as in Bariga
Education
Kaptain Kush went to primary and secondary schools in Lagos state where he got his primary and secondary certificates. He later went to Mashood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta and pursued his Tertiary School Education. At the moment, Kaptain Kush is a student in the same polytechnic.
Career
His career kicked off when he started dancing in secondary school. He then started acting where he was part of the Pan Africa Group. Kaptain Kush then started being inspired by some of the great musicians such as Wizkid, Erigga, Flavor, 2baba, Lil Kesh, Patoranking, Young 6ix, Olamide, and Falz among others.
In 2012, Kaptain Kush released his first song ‘Kush song’. However, it did not get much traction at the time. It was until he came across and started working together with top producer Sunshine that his music career started to pick.

Some of Kaptain Kush’s hit singles include Money must drop, Mama, Follow Me, Problem, Gbese Gbese, Chemistry, Heart Robber, and Season among others.
He has had some major collaborations with some artists in the entertainment industry such as Omalicha where he featured Aleye Proof. Another one is Limbo featuring Ene U, Issues featuring Gzone, and I’m Gone featuring Sirturn.
This year, he has released his EP dubbed ‘Love and Breakup’.
